Have you wanted to learn more about maintaining a sustainable planet but can’t find the time? Join us for an environmental film festival. Learn more about climate change, regenerative farming, feedback loops, etc.. The first session will include videos by Katharine Hayhoe, the renowned Christian climate scientist. You, the audience, will let us know what environmental topics most concern you, and we will select films based on your interests for the following sessions.
Ginger England retired to Young Harris, GA, in 2020. She worked in IT for most of her career, starting with a major airline and transitioning to the education system for the last years of her career. At retirement, she promised her students to continue fighting for their futures, and that includes educating others on current environmental issues and how to help maintain a sustainable planet. She volunteers for Citizens' Climate Lobby/Education.
Vernon is a native Georgian and just turned 77 years old. He was raised in the small southwest Ga town of Quitman and has always loved rural Georgia. He is a medical doctor and a board certified Adult Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Vernon practiced his unique brand of Christian Psychiatry at Albany Ga and Blairsville Ga till his retirement in 2014. He was the group leader of Citizens’ Climate Lobby in District 9 in Ga for 7 ½ years and has just retired from this position but is still very active in promoting action on climate change and clean energy.
Bob is a retired Mechanical Engineer who has lived in Georgia since 1992. He recently took a number of courses at Georgia Tech related to climate change. He has been involved with Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) since 2019 and is the group leader for Northeast Georgia Chapter of CCL .
